The link seems to be broken.
I am very sceptical of the assertion that there is high demand for mysql certs.
Most mysql admin work is done by php developers, or linux admins. It is very unusual to see an ad for a mysql dba.
It is even more unusual to see a job ad mention a mysql cert.
Nothing wrong with being skeptical. But the demand is there.
